Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were.

I've tried everything and there's really no reason for me to keep Tatsuya. He is out of proportion with Juniper and with the other dolls I plan to get. It's really hard for me since he was my first doll, but I have to let him go. However, instead of just giving him the boot, I want to replace him with a new doll to carry on his name and character.

I've been looking for a long time, but nothing has been quite right. However, today I randomly decided to check out Fairyland to see if they had released the new MiniFee boy body. They have! It has muscles!! They have also released two new heads! I think I've found Tatsuya's new shell. MiniFee Seorin! I took one look at him and thought, "TATSUYA!" :D

Fairyland has also released a new option where you can have your name and the doll's name engraved on it's head plate. THAT'S ADORABLE. I could never sell him if I did that though. Heheeee.

Anyhoo, Tatsuya 1.0 is getting a huge make-over. (Cleaning from head to toe, new face-up, blushing, the WORKS.) I'm going to try and sell him as a full set with the AnotherSpace clothes I bought for him. I'm hoping to get at LEAST $300 for him. That means I need to do a heck of a job making him look irresistible. (Kens aren't exactly popular AND he's old skin.) Then I'll only have to scrape together $100 or so for the difference and shipping if I order Seorin through the A La Carte system.

Also, I'm getting a LUSIS! Well, the faceplate anyway. :D I ordered it along with a new pair of pointing hands and the fox frame glasses in the recent parts pre-order. I'm sooo excited. Her name is Kailey! She's June's sister who lives in London. So the two can share a body no problem since they live an ocean apart. Oh man. I'm such a nerd.

ANYWAY! After getting Tatsuya upgraded, I really would like to get my paws on a Narin and a Narae. Then I'll be satisfied. .........Maybe.

Oh oh, I changed my Etsy shop because I'm indecisive. Secondhand Kiss is still the name of my doll clothes line, but I really didn't like it as the name of my Etsy shop. It's now Nonesuch Garden which I'm KEEPING! I hope to start posting items in May.

OMG, my order from Dollmore came today. They even sent me some extra stuff! A pair of blank, acrylic eyes (I think I can customize them?) and some shrimp snacks. Haha! Also some Dollmore stickers and postcards. Tatsuya looks ADORABLE in his new clothes and wig. I need to take pictures! The wig is PERFECT. It's exactly the wig I imagined for him when I first got him FOUR YEARS AGO. And I don't even mind the pony tail. It actually works. I'm trying really hard to resist the urge to order more stuff. I want another pair of pants, some goggles, and a hat...... I'm not ordering anything from Leeke anymore because the boots I want weren't included in their pre-order. BAH! And I don't need a wig anymore since the Another Space one ended up being exactly right. So... Anyone want to order stuff from Dollmore with me instead? They have lots of cool stuff! Let me know! :D You have some time because I need to come up with like another $60 before I can order anything. (And it needs to come from DoA sales, so it may take awhile.)

EEK! I am so excited. :D Somehow in one day I managed to sell enough stuff on DoA to finally afford the stuff I wanted to order from Dollmore! YAY! (I have this rule that I can only use the money I make on DoA to buy new doll stuff.) I can't wait to get it. It's all Another Space stuff. A jacket, pants, and a wig. HAPPY! Tatsuya is going to look so cooool.

Also, I totally got the Playmobil Brachiosaurus the other day. How I love heem. I had a funny conversation with the guy who rung me up. It went something like this:
Guy: Someone really likes Brachiosaurs.
Me: Yeah, well, my favorite dinosaur is the Stegosaurus, but Playmobil didn't make one.
Guy: Oh, it's for you?
Me: Of course it's for me!
Then as I was leaving the store...
Me: I refuse to grow up!
Guy: Haha! Me either. I mean, look where I work!
(It's a toy/comics/gaming/miniature/etc store.)

Oh my gosh I am itching to just buy a bunch of stuff for my dolls. D:

I want to give Tatsuya a complete make over which includes a new wig and eyes. I sort of want to change him from the mild mannered little boy into a post-apocalyptic, steam punkish brat. Kinda "City of Lost Children" esque. In other words, I just want to make him into a really fun fantasy/scifi character whom I can sew ridiculous things for.

As for Juniper, I want to buy her lots of shoes and wigs. I want her to be super stylish and adorable. :D

I'm waiting for LeekeWorld to open their pre-orders for their new shoes and wigs. Then I'm going to go crazy nuts. Anyone want to go in on an order with me? I think pre-orders start on the 21st.

Oh and the toy store I buy Playmobil at is getting in the new Dino sets sometime in the next week or two! HUZZAH!

AND I start my new job on Monday! So I'll actually have a little money to start saving up for these things. :D I'm going to put aside $10 - $20 of each paycheck for spending money that I can use on anything I wish. This includes dolls, Playmobil, clothes, going to the movies, etc so I'll have to actually save up and budget for these things. I'm not really going to just go blow a ton of money I don't have. I'm just fantasizing about how fun it would be. ;)

Lastly, I redesigned the aviator cap for my little line of animals I'm working on. But I don't have a photo yet. Here's a drawing of the characters, though.

And this is the original proto-type I made. The cap is better in the final design.
They are each going to come with a removable aviator cap, an airplane charm, and a tag that looks like a tiny pilot's license with their picture and name inside.

I've always wanted a in-scale room for my dolls. I've been slowly (VERY slowly) collecting stuff for a long time. Today I finally felt like I have enough to make a convincing room, so I set it up in the corner of my bedroom....

I redid the punky dress. It came out much nicer this time around, I think. :)







I mutilated my Tinybear wig.... I was trying to get it manageable, but to no avail. I tried straightening it which only made it MORE poofy. I also attempted to cut bangs.... Yeah, bad call. It actually doesn't look all that bad, but it's just not what I have in mind for my girl. So I was bad and ordered a JPOPDOLLS wig off of eBay with my credit card. BAD BAD BAD! D: But my girl will be pretty...

I liked this dress in concept, but the execution was sloppy. I tried to fix it, but ended up butchering it... Heh! I'm going to try again with this same fabric since I was able to salvage the skirt. I'm just amused by this picture because June looks so punk rock. Haha. :D

I finished sanding June's seams (obviously). I did it all in one day because I couldn't bear her being apart for longer than that. If only I could give her a face-up! SIGH!

I'm taking her apart tonight to sand her seams. I'm going to miss her... :( So I'll have to do it fast!

Oh my god, I am so insanely in love with this doll. I almost don't want to take her apart to sand her seams. But I will because I need to do it. I wish it was warmer and I had some MSC so I could give her a face-up. She's going to be blank for awhile. But I'm going to sew for her! And by spring she will be super fashionable! So when I do finally get to give her a face, I can take pictures of her with clothes on. Haha.

She poses like a dream. I love all the little posing features. Like her double jointed elbows and notch systems in her thighs, arms and neck. I'm a little puzzled by her limited wrist movement, but I think after sanding and cleaning up the joints it will be better. I also kind of wish her boobs weren't so massive, but it's either huge boobs, or no boobs. I don't want her to look like a 12 year old, so huge boobs it is. Heh.

Her wig is really poofy and insane. I finally got it styled okay so it's not in her face. I think I'm going to take a straightener to it and give her some bangs. Hopefully I won't destroy the wig in the process! But I need to do something with it because I'm not liking it very much at the moment. The color is PERFECT, though.

I adore her eyes. They are almost creepy in how they sort of follow me around the room. They're Gumdrops which are made out of urethane, but have a glass-like appearance. The pupil is 3-dimensional and the iris has delicate crinkles in it like real eyes. They're just beautiful and eerily realistic.

I'm going to try and pick up the sandpaper I need to start sanding today. I have 600 grit, but I need something a little rougher so I'm not sanding for 300 years. But first, I need to shower and sweep the house. :P

Juniper arrived on December 22nd, but I was away. I opened her tonight and I fell insanely in love with her. :D I strung her up, put in her eyes and put on her wig just to see her whole briefly. I'll be taking her back apart soon to sand her seams and give her a face! But for now I think she's gorgeous just the way she is...
